Greater Bay Area Garden Expo 2025 Opens in Shenzhen
On March 28, the 2025 Greater Bay Area Garden Expo officially opened in Shenzhen, marking the beginning of a 10-day horticultural celebration under the theme “A Centennial Promise.” The event will run through April 6 and spans two major venues in the city — Futian and Nanshan Districts.
The expo showcases 47 creative garden designs from around the world, blending artistry, nature, and urban culture. This year’s event features two symbolic flowers: the lily and the ranunculus, chosen to represent purity, renewal, and the blossoming future of the region. These floral themes tie together the historical and modern development of Shenzhen — from its first public park to its current status as a “city of a thousand parks.”

This cross-regional event not only highlights global landscape innovation but also celebrates the urban green transformation of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. As Shenzhen continues to evolve into a model eco-city, the garden expo reflects its dedication to livability, sustainability, and beauty in public spaces.
In addition to stunning garden exhibits, the event includes interactive workshops, cultural performances, and educational sessions focused on environmental awareness and urban ecology. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to participate, making it both a cultural and family-friendly experience.
The 2025 Garden Expo is more than just a showcase of flowers—it’s a tribute to 100 years of urban growth and a vision for a greener, more connected future across the Greater Bay Area.
